Urgent Road Closure - U2488, Derwent Street, Workington

An urgent road closure has been put in place to allow United Utilities Water to carry out urgent repairs due to a leaking water main.
This notice will be in force for a period not exceeding 5 days from 21st March 2021. It is expected that the Works will take 4 days.

Location: Derwent Street from a point approx. 12 metres from its junction with William Street, extending in an easterly direction for a total distance of approximately 20 metres
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Derwent Street and Brow Top, Speedwell Lane, FinkleStreet, Vulcans Lane, Oxford Street, the A597 and William Street.
NB: TO FACILITATE THE DIVERSION ROUTE, THE ONE-WAY RESTRICTION ON DERWENT STREET AND BROW TOP WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR THE DURATION OF THESE WORKS.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
