Urgent road closure - Uldale Street, Ladies Walk and Tiffin Lane, Workington

This 2nd notice follows an emergency road closure, made on 23rd February, and has been put in place due to the likelihood of danger to the public, as a result of the dangerous condition of a building adjacent to the roads.
This notice will be in force for a period of up to 21 days from 16th March 2021, as and when the relevant signs are displayed. It is anticipated that the restriction will be required for 21 days.

Location:
i) U2558 Ladies Walk, Workington from a point approx. 70 metres south east of its junction with Speedwell Lane, extending in a south easterly direction for a total distance of approx. 35 metres; and
ii) U2559 Tiffin Lane, Workington, from its junction with Pow Street, to its junction with Ladies Walk; and
iii) U2995 Udale Street, Workington, from a point approx. 45m west of its junction with the U2662 Udale Street, extending in a westerly then southerly direction for a total distance of approx. 35m.

U2558 Ladies Walk: Suitable alternative routes for pedestrians and cyclists will be available via the unrestricted sections of Ladies Walk, the A596, U2662 Udale Street, Pow Street and Speedwell Lane.
U2559 Tiffin Lane: via the unrestricted section of Ladies Walk, Pow Street and Speedwell Lane.
U2995 Udale Street: via the unrestricted sections of Udale Street, and Pow Street
