Workington Town Council Meetings - November

The following Town Council meetings will be taking place in November:

Planning Committee – 2 November, 6.30pm, via Zoom

Culture Committee – 10th November, 6.30pm, via Zoom

Environment Committee – 12th November, 6.30pm, via Zoom

Finance & General Purposes Committee – 19th November, 6.30pm, via Zoom

Full Council – 25th November, 6.30pm via Zoom

Members of the public are welcome to attend. Please e-mail us at office@workingtontowncouncil.gov.uk to confirm attendance and we will issue zoom joining instructions near to the date of the meeting.

Fundraising Calender

A fundraising calendar is available for sale in support of Workington Rotary.

 

The calendar features photographs taken in and around West Cumbria during lockdown. All proceeds will be donated to Workington Rotary Club in memory of Rotary Past President John Head.

It's available for purchase from Sinclairs, Akitts, The Entertainer, Carnegie Theatre & Arts Centre, St. Michael’s Church and St. John’s Church

Mayor's Christmas Card Competition

The Mayor of Workington has launched her Christmas card competition for 2020.

The theme this year is 'the joy of Christmas'.

Vacancy in Stainburn Ward

Following the death of Deputy Mayor, Cllr David King of Stainburn, a vacancy now exists in the Council's Stainburn Ward. You can read the formal Notice of Vacancy here.
