Overnight closures of the A66 Stainburn Bypass

Highways England are carrying out improvement at the A595/A66 Great Clifton roundabout. The work will include installing bollards, resurfacing the carriageway and drainage improvements.

They propose to start work shortly after the 19 April for around two weeks. This will take place Monday to Friday between 8pm and 6am.

For safety, overnight closures of the A66 Stainburn Bypass is needed, and localised signed diversion routes will be in place via the A595 and A596. In addition to this, temporary three-way traffic lights are required at Great Clifton roundabout.
