A letter from The Mayor of Workington for the people of Workington

A message from The Mayor of Workington:

To the people of Workington.

Over these last few months, I have seen many people/groups/organisations coming together to help those in need and the community spirit that all of you have shown should be applauded.

It is difficult to put into words how grateful I am for your resilience and fortitude in these difficult times. To the NHS, shop workers, waste services, teachers and all our key workers in the town, thank you for all you are doing to keep our community safe.

Let us all carry on with the same determination and courage and fight this fight together. Stay home, stay safe and we will be together with our loved ones again soon.
