Mayor's Christmas Card Competition 2025

This year the theme for the Mayor's Christmas card is: “Happy Healthy Christmas”

The Mayor of Workington Cllr David Farrar would love to see your ideas for what a Happy, Healthy Christmas looks like!

A happy, healthy Christmas isn’t just about presents — it’s about kindness, spending time with people you love, having fun and taking care of ourselves and others.

Please remember that your picture could be chosen for the front of my Christmas card this year, so grab your pencils, crayons, or paintbrushes and design a Christmas card that shows what makes the season special to you!

The competition is open to anyone from the ages of 4-18 years old and live in the parish of Workington.

Pictures should be in colour and a maximum size of A3.

An overall winning picture will be chosen which will feature on the front of the Christmas card this year.

In addition to the winning picture being used on the front of the Christmas card, the winner and 1 runner up from each age category will be invited to switch on the Town’s Christmas lights (Saturday 29th November 2025 at 5.pm) and will receive a hamper full of goodies.

Age categories:  4-7 years, 8-11 years, and 12-18 years.
