Emergency Road Closure of Curwen Street, Workington

Curwen Street Closed

An emergency road closure has been put in place due to the likelihood of danger as a result of a leaking gas main.
This notice will be in force for a period of up to 21 days from 12th December 2020, as and when the relevant signs are displayed. It is anticipated that the restriction will be required for 7 days.

Location: Curwen Street, Workington from its junction with Market Place extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 30m
Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available as follows via Wilson Street, Ramsay Brow, Christian Street, Portland Square and Portland Street.
